Drain & Prep
Unplug your fountain and drain all old water. Remove the charcoal filter (dispose or set aside if still new).
Drop & Fill
Drop one CLYND tablet into the empty reservoir. Fill the basin with warm water (approx. 100°F/38°C) to accelerate the Active Oxygen fizzing action.
The 15-Minute Fizz
Let the tablet sit and dissolve for 15 minutes. You will see an active bubbling effect as the formula attacks saliva slime and mineral scale.
Circulate (The Deep Clean)
Plug the fountain in and run it for 5–10 minutes. This is crucial—it allows the solution to penetrate the pump housing, internal motor, and water pathways that brushes can’t reach.
Triple Rinse
Drain the cleaning solution. Fill with fresh water and circulate again. Repeat the rinsing process 2–3 times. This ensures all cleaning agents are completely flushed from the internal tubes.
Wipe & Refresh
Give the interior a quick wipe with a clean cloth, insert a fresh filter, and refill with cool water for your pet’s hydration.
PRO TIPS FOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
If you have hard water rings above the normal water level, fill the fountain to the absolute brim during the soak, or place the disassembled top-pan upside down in the reservoir to ensure it stays submerged in the solution.
While CLYND works in cold water, using warm water significantly increases the solubility of the Sulfamic Acid, making it 2x more effective at "melting" stubborn calcium deposits.
If your pump has become loud or rattling, let it run with the CLYND solution for an extra 10 minutes. Removing the internal scale from the impeller often restores the "silent" operation of the motor.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
Never allow your pets to drink from the fountain while the cleaning solution is active. We recommend placing a temporary water bowl in a different room during the 15-minute cycle.
Because of the potency of the ingredients, you must rinse the fountain at least 2 to 3 times with fresh water before letting your pet use it.
Keep the tablet box in a high cabinet or locked drawer. Tablets are small and can be mistaken for treats; ensure they are kept out of reach of pets and children at all times.
If your pet accidentally consumes the cleaning solution or a tablet, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison control center immediately.
Maintenance Best Practices
For the healthiest water, use one CLYND tablet every 2 weeks. This prevents "Biofilm" (slime) from ever gaining a foothold in your fountain.
- Standard Fountains (up to 3L): 1 Tablet.
• Large/Multi-Pet Fountains (3L - 6L): 2 Tablets.
Always clean your fountain with a CLYND tablet immediately before installing a brand-new charcoal filter. This ensures your fresh filter isn't sitting in a contaminated basin.
