CLYND Kettle Cleaner
Everything you need to know to keep your kettles running like new. Follow these simple steps for best results.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these simple steps for a deep, thorough clean every time.
SET THE WATER LEVEL
Add 500 ml (17 fl oz) of water to the kettle. Do not fill to full capacity—maintaining the correct water level is essential for effective descaling.
DISSOLVE THE TABLET
Drop in 1 tablet and allow it to fully dissolve for 1–2 minutes.
HEAT TO WARM (NOT BOILING)
Heat the water to 60–70°C (140–160°F).
⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: Do not boil. Boiling destroys the active descaling acid and reduces cleaning effectiveness.
SOAK WINDOW
Let the solution soak for 20–30 minutes. Do not exceed 30 minutes.
LIGHT SCRUB
Use a soft brush or a damp cloth to lightly scrub the interior walls, lifting any remaining loosened scale deposits.
DISCARD & FLUSH
Discard the cleaning solution safely and rinse the kettle thoroughly 2–3 times with fresh water before regular use.
PRO TIPS
- For stubborn crusts: Use 2 tablets in 500 ml of water and repeat the cycle if necessary.
- Safety Restraint: Do not soak overnight or leave the solution unattended.
MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY MATRIX
- 🟢 SAFE TO USE ON: Stainless Steel, Glass, Ceramic, and Plastic.
- ❌ DO NOT USE ON: Aluminum, Cast Iron, Gold, and Silver.
For appliances with stubborn, thick mineral crusts, scale up the cleaning power by using 2 tablets in 500 ml of water and repeat the cycle if necessary
Heating the water to exactly 60–70°C (140–160°F) creates the perfect thermal environment for the citric acid matrix to break down calcium rapidly without boiling.
Always drop the tablet in and let it fizz and completely dissolve for 1–2 minutes before heating to ensure an even chemical distribution throughout the water.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
Never allow the water to reach a rolling boil during the descaling process. Boiling destroys the active descaling acid and severely reduces cleaning effectiveness.
Strictly observe the soaking timeframe. Do not exceed the 30-minute soak window, and never leave the active solution unattended or soaking overnight.
This product is not for use on Aluminum, Cast Iron, Gold, and Silver. Only apply to approved surfaces to prevent permanent cosmetic or structural damage.
Maintenance Best Practices
Always use exactly 500 ml (17 fl oz) of water. Do not fill your kettle or appliance reservoir to full capacity; maintaining the correct water-to-acid ratio is key to effective descaling.
Keep your standard soaking cycles locked between 20–30 minutes. This gives the formula enough time to loosen the mineral scale down to the bare metal substrate without over-exposure.
Use a soft brush or a damp cloth to lightly scrub the internal walls right after the soak window to safely wipe away detached, stubborn scale deposits.
Always discard the spent cleaning solution safely and rinse the appliance interior thoroughly 2–3 times with fresh water before boiling or brewing your next beverage.
