Everything you need to know to keep your garbage disposal running like new. Follow these simple steps for best results.

CLYND Garbage disposal cleaner
How It Works

Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these simple steps for a deep, thorough clean every time.

1

Prep & Clear

Prep & Clear

Ensure the disposal is completely empty of food scraps. Run a full stream of HOT water for 1 minute. Heat is the catalyst for the foaming reaction; cold water will significantly reduce foam volume.

2

Adjust to a trickle

Adjust to a trickle

Reduce the water flow to a slow trickle (no wider than a pencil) and move the faucet stream away from the center of the drain.

3

Drop & Activate

Drop & Activate

Unwrap one tablet (use two for first-time deep cleaning) and drop it fully into the disposal. Immediately turn on the disposal and run it for 1 minute. The tablet will grind, creating a high-rise foam that scrubs the walls and splash guard.

4

Rinse

Rinse

Once the foam begins to retreat, run the water and disposal until all residue is flushed.

PRO TIPS FOR "SATISFYING PROOF"

If you have a double basin, run water in the non-disposal side during the cleaning process. This creates a water seal in the pipes that forces the foam to rise higher in the disposal side rather than escaping down the drain.

If you haven't cleaned your disposal in months, the first treatment may not show much foam because it is busy "cutting the crud". Use two tablets back-to-back for your first session to break through old grease layers.

While CLYND foams under the flap, use an old toothbrush to occasionally scrub the top side of the rubber splash guard for a 360-degree deep clean.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

CAUTION:This product causes serious eye irritation. Avoid splashing foam or water into eyes during the rinsing process.

Wash hands thoroughly after handling tablets. Keep tablets in their original packaging until ready to use to prevent accidental exposure.

Store the jar in a cool, dry place strictly out of reach of children. The lemon-orange scent can be attractive to kids; always ensure the child-safety lid is tight.

While the citrus scent is pleasant, ensure your kitchen is well-ventilated during the foaming action to avoid inhaling concentrated cleaning vapors.

Maintenance Best Practices

Use CLYND twice a month to maintain a "Total Hygiene Barrier". Regular use prevents the "savage beast" odors from returning.

For everyday food grinding (not cleaning),always use cold water. Cold water keeps fats solid so they can be ground and flushed, whereas hot water (used daily) can melt grease and cause it to congeal deeper in your pipes.

Never put coffee grounds, eggshells, fibrous vegetables (celery/corn husks), or large bones down the disposal. These lead to the clogs that no cleaner can fix.

Once a week, fill your sink halfway with soapy water, then pull the stopper and run the disposal to "pressure flush" the system.
